Soft Tissue Grafting
Post-Operative Care Instructions
Surgical Procedures
Soft tissue grafting aims to enhance gum tissue volume and support, often improving both function and aesthetics. Our holistic protocols support tissue regeneration through natural and integrative healing methods.
Post-Procedure Care
Follow these guidelines to support your recovery and healing
Immediate Post-Operative Care
- Rest & Ice: Apply ice packs intermittently for the first 48 hours to minimize swelling.
- Wound Protection: Avoid touching or irritating the graft site with your tongue or fingers.
Diet & Activity
- Diet: Follow a soft, cool diet for 5–7 days. Emphasize nutrient-dense meals that aid tissue repair, such as protein-rich smoothies and soft vegetables.
- Activity: Limit physical activity for the first 72 hours; rest is essential to prevent disruption of the graft.
Oral Hygiene
- Rinsing: Begin gentle rinsing with a warm saline or herbal solution (chamomile or sage) 24 hours post-procedure.
- Brushing: Resume brushing carefully around the graft area using a soft brush and biocompatible products as directed.
Holistic & Natural Support
- Herbal Support: Use any prescribed natural supplements (e.g., aloe vera, arnica) to reduce inflammation and promote healing.
- Mind-Body Practices: Incorporate stress-reduction techniques to support the body's natural healing response.
